Vision

“...Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” Ephesians 4:15-16

Any “vision” we project as a church family is merely our attempt to hope and dream for the future in what we believe is God’s direction given to us. Our purpose is well defined throughout the New Testament. We are His people, and therefore, His purpose for us must be our purpose for us. We look to two scriptures for special inspiration as the Marysville Church of Christ.

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
“You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

Matthew 22:37, 39

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit…”
Matthew 28:19

With these principles and words of Jesus before us, following is a list of hopes and dreams that we envision for the future for the Marysville Church of Christ. These are goals we fully intend to accomplish if God sees fit to bless them.

Goals
1. We envision a church that never stops growing spiritually and numerically. We hold to the conviction that each and every soul is of eternal significance because Jesus died, and was buried, and rose for us all.

2. In connection with the previously stated goal, we envision allowing God to use our congregation as a conscience to our community. Toward this end we want to promote the same Godly ideals, morals, and principles that Christianity has stood for over the last two millennia.

3. We envision a dynamic, growing and maturing youth group that will carry this vision into the next generation!
