Elders

The term "elder" at the Marysville Church of Christ is not so much a designation of age as it is one of experience. An elder (or spiritual shepherd) refers to a man who has proven through life experiences to embody the attributes and qualities of godly spiritual leadership (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9). They are older in experience and spiritual wisdom and they strive to serve this church with wise counsel, spiritual support, encouragement, moral accountability and prayer. These are some of the first people you can confidently call when your life journey gets tough. If you need someone to lean on or to help share a burden, a shepherd is there to help. "Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers- not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock." 1 Peter 5:2-3 Here is a list of our shepherds along with their contact numbers:
